Kaz Stanton
Kaz Stanton is an artist, whose practice currently explores the visual and emotional nuances of the ever-changing coastal landscape and Queensland life. Visual Communication and Design studies have informed the artist’s visual language, this knowledge thereby influencing their material experimentation whilst responding to conceptual exploration of identity and site. Throughout her artistic journey, Kaz has developed experience working with oils, ink, watercolour, and more recently, printmaking in the reduction method. Her newfound material expression of relief printing with oils perfectly reflects the layered complexities of our vibrant coastal landscape. Kaz is constantly experimenting with new methods and techniques with the desire to incorporate freedom of illustration and watercolor. Kaz seeks to foster a sense of connection between site, self and material by exploring her own sense of identity through the landscape and interiors
